People holding March For Respect banner

The dictionary defines "respect" as a showing of honor and consideration. Holding a level of esteem and regard for one another. It’s a quite simple concept, actually. So simple, in fact, it’s hard to comprehend how easily it can be forgotten. Especially to the hundreds of thousands of citizens living with developmental disabilities. Regardless of our differences, we all want many of the same things. To be loved and understood. To receive a fair chance. To find respect. On the last Saturday in March, more than 5,000 of us will gather to walk a mile for respect. With your participation, who knows how far we can go.

Registration is free.
The school and organization attending
with the most preregistered participants
will each receive $1,000.

A PowerPoint presentation about the March for Respect is available upon request. Please contact us for more information!
